Your client is ready to sell. Their operations may not be.

I fix what diligence tends to find: owner dependence, processes that live in one person’s head, and numbers only the owner can see.

Three ways to work together

  • Send your client the Founder Dependence Check. A few minutes, and you both get a common starting point.
  • Introduce us. I’ll talk with the owner and tell you both plainly what I see.
  • Bring me in alongside you on a deal, before or after close.

I stay in my lane

I work on operations. Valuation, deal structure, tax and legal stay with you and the client’s other advisors.

A business that runs without its owner is easier to diligence and easier to hand over. The same work makes it run better while it’s being sold.

Stay in touch

I send an occasional letter on what I’m seeing inside owner-led businesses. Sign up at the bottom of the home page.

Questions owners ask

What size businesses do you work with?

Owner-led businesses, roughly $1M to $20M in revenue.

Do you work before or after the sale?

Both. Before, to get the business ready. After, to help the new owner run it without the old one.

Start with a conversation.

Tell me what keeps not getting done. You’ll leave with at least one thing to act on, whether we work together or not.

Rather not book yet? Take a quick check or leave your details and I’ll reach out.
